Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (remote)

Summit Sable Manufacturing is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on dispatch and scheduling for machine downtime, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for machine downtime. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with machine downtime. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
