Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (remote)

We are growing our team at Redstone Ivory Freight and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be dispatch and scheduling. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for claims. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
