Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Portland, OR)

Fernwood Ember Markets Group is a Portland retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our dispatch and scheduling. You would join a small organisation of about 156 people based in Portland. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for store inventory. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with store inventory. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
