Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Oakland, CA)

Ironwood Harbor Freight is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on dispatch and scheduling for dock schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 167 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for dock schedules. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
