Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Oakland, CA)

Bluepeak Ivory Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Oakland with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on dispatch and scheduling. You would join a large organisation of about 243 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for fleet maintenance. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with fleet maintenance. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
