Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (New Orleans, LA)

Fernwood Stone Environmental Services is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on dispatch and scheduling for collection routes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for collection routes. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with collection routes. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
