Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (New Orleans, LA)

Lumen Rowan Inspection Services is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on dispatch and scheduling for scheduling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for scheduling. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with scheduling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
