Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Hartford, CT)

Westbrook Drift Inspection Services is an inspection company in Hartford with field technicians and lab staff. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on dispatch and scheduling. You would join a small organisation of about 17 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for field inspections. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with field inspections. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
