Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Fresno, CA)

Fernwood Granite Manufacturing Group is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on dispatch and scheduling for machine downtime, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 743 people based in Fresno. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for machine downtime. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with machine downtime. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
