Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Detroit, MI)

Westbrook Loom Construction is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on dispatch and scheduling for permits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 982 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for permits. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
