Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Detroit, MI)

Nova Umber Farms is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on dispatch and scheduling for cold storage, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 211 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for cold storage. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with cold storage. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
