Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Meridian Inspection Services and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be dispatch and scheduling. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for client sites. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with client sites. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
