Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Des Moines, IA)

Northwind Timber Manufacturing is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on dispatch and scheduling for production lines, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 909 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Report on on-time performance for production lines. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner.
