Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Timber Construction and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be dispatch and scheduling. You would join a small organisation of about 100 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for change orders. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with change orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
