Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Chicago, IL)

Highbridge Orchard Freight is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on dispatch and scheduling for dock schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for dock schedules. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
