Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Chicago, IL)

Northwind Cross Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Chicago, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our dispatch and scheduling. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for certifications. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with certifications. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
