Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Chicago, IL)

Harborlight Yarrow Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Chicago. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on dispatch and scheduling. You would join a small organisation of about 103 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for scheduling. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with scheduling. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
