Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Charleston, SC)

Ironwood Granite Manufacturing makes precision components in Charleston, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our dispatch and scheduling. You would join a small organisation of about 29 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for machine downtime. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with machine downtime. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
