Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Charleston, SC)

Harborlight Forge Inspection Services Partners tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Charleston, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our dispatch and scheduling. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for test reports. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with test reports. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
