Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Birmingham, AL)

Westbrook Stone Inspection Services is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on dispatch and scheduling for field inspections, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 301 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for field inspections. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with field inspections.
