Logistics Coordinator - delivery tracking (San Jose, CA)

Silverline Meridian Foods produces packaged foods at its San Jose plant, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our delivery tracking. You would join a small organisation of about 119 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for sanitation schedules. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with sanitation schedules. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
