Logistics Coordinator - delivery tracking (San Diego, CA)

Fernwood Orchard Farms is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on delivery tracking for grower contracts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for grower contracts. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with grower contracts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
