Logistics Coordinator - delivery tracking (Sacramento, CA)

Fernwood Ashton Freight Group moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Sacramento. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on delivery tracking. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Sacramento, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
