Logistics Coordinator - delivery tracking (Oakland, CA)

Westbrook Rowan Foods produces packaged foods at its Oakland plant, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our delivery tracking. You would join a small organisation of about 79 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for customer specifications. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with customer specifications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
