Logistics Coordinator - delivery tracking (Knoxville, TN)

Summit Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near Knoxville. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on delivery tracking. You would join a small organisation of about 108 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for cold storage. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with cold storage. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Knoxville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
