Logistics Coordinator - delivery tracking (Detroit, MI)

Fernwood Juniper Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Detroit, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our delivery tracking. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for loads and lanes. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
