Logistics Coordinator - delivery tracking (Des Moines, IA)

Nova Fern Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Des Moines, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our delivery tracking. You would join a small organisation of about 23 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for claims. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
