Logistics Coordinator - delivery tracking (Des Moines, IA)

Fernwood Bright Markets serves neighbourhoods around Des Moines with fresh food and everyday goods. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on delivery tracking. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Report on on-time performance for promotions. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with promotions. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
