Logistics Coordinator - delivery tracking (Columbus, OH)

Westbrook Fern Freight is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on delivery tracking for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 20 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for carrier rates. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Columbus. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
