Logistics Coordinator - delivery tracking (Chicago, IL)

Fernwood Telecom is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on delivery tracking for billing accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for billing accounts. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
