Logistics Coordinator - delivery tracking (Boston, MA)

Summit Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near Boston. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on delivery tracking. You would join a small organisation of about 112 people based in Boston. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for seasonal crews. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with seasonal crews. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Boston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
