Logistics Coordinator - delivery tracking (Birmingham, AL)

Cedar Beacon Press is a printer and publisher in Birmingham serving local and national clients. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on delivery tracking. You would join a large organisation of about 353 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for customer orders. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with customer orders. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
