Logistics Coordinator - delivery tracking (Birmingham, AL)

Fernwood Meridian Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Birmingham. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on delivery tracking. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for scheduling. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with scheduling. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
