Logistics Coordinator - customs and documents (Virginia Beach, VA)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Umber Inspection Services and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be customs and documents. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Report on on-time performance for test reports. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with test reports. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We reply to every applicant.
