Logistics Coordinator - customs and documents (Tampa, FL)

Summit Stone Freight is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on customs and documents for claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 432 people based in Tampa. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Tampa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
