Logistics Coordinator - customs and documents (San Jose, CA)

Fernwood Pine Markets Group operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around San Jose, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our customs and documents. You would join a large organisation of about 838 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for supplier deliveries. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with supplier deliveries. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
