Logistics Coordinator - customs and documents (Providence, RI)

Silverline Glen Foods is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on customs and documents for customer specifications, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 181 people based in Providence. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for customer specifications. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with customer specifications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
