Logistics Coordinator - customs and documents (New Orleans, LA)

Northwind Glen Farms is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on customs and documents for harvest schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 874 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for harvest schedules. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with harvest schedules.
