Logistics Coordinator - customs and documents (Grand Rapids, MI)

Silverline Mill Freight Group is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on customs and documents for customer tracking, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for customer tracking. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with customer tracking. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
