Logistics Coordinator - customs and documents (Detroit, MI)

Foxglove Sparrow Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Detroit, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our customs and documents. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for certifications. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with certifications. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
