Logistics Coordinator - customs and documents (Detroit, MI)

Summit Oak Foods Group is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on customs and documents for cold storage, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for cold storage. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • Knowledge of freight terms.
