Logistics Coordinator - customs and documents (Detroit, MI)

Foxglove Sparrow Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Detroit. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on customs and documents. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Report on on-time performance for test reports. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with test reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
