Logistics Coordinator - customs and documents (Des Moines, IA)

Westbrook Lakeside Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Des Moines with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need a Logistics Coordinator to lead our customs and documents. You would join a large organisation of about 221 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for weigh tickets. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with weigh tickets. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
