Logistics Coordinator - customs and documents (Chicago, IL)

Westbrook Meridian Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Chicago. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on customs and documents. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for equipment calibration. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with equipment calibration. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
