Logistics Coordinator - customs and documents (Chicago, IL)

Silverline Basin Inspection Services is looking for a Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on customs and documents for client sites, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for client sites. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with client sites.
