Logistics Coordinator - customs and documents (Chicago, IL)

Amberfield Quill Foods is a Chicago food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on customs and documents. You would join a large organisation of about 929 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for customer specifications. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with customer specifications. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
