Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Wichita, KS)

Lumen River Construction is a Wichita contractor with project managers, trades and support staff. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for materials orders. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with materials orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Wichita, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
