Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (St. Louis, MO)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Yarrow Foods and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 186 people based in St. Louis. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for production batches. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with production batches. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in St. Louis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
