Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Seattle, WA)

We are growing our team at Summit Pike Manufacturing and adding a Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 15 people based in Seattle. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Report on on-time performance for machine downtime. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with machine downtime. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Seattle, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
