Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Savannah, GA)

Fernwood Quill Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near Savannah. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. Weather sets the schedule, and we plan around it. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for cold storage. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Savannah. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
